Programs
The Deutsche Kinemathek offers various education and outreach programs focused on the museum’s exhibitions and the medium film. Unfortunately, not all programs can take place on site and in person at the moment. Currently, film enthusiasts can discover our exhibitions during public guided tours or book them individually. Explore film locations on our multifaceted walking tours through different parts of the city and learn more about the history of the film city Berlin.
We offer regular online guided tours to enable you to visit our exhibitions or to find out more about what happens behind the scenes at the Kinemathek. There are also short videos for children and families showing how you can easily make your own animated cartoon at home or in class.
Upon request, we are happy to organize personalized virtual tours through the exhibitions as well as introductions for professional groups.

The museum is intended for children eight years and older in the accompaniment of their parents. We recommend taking part in one of our educational programs to help children understand the context – such as for example a tour through the animation and technology exhibits.
