How does an actual film set come about? Who is responsible for the set design? What would a big city backdrop look like in your film?
Starting from milestones in film history, such as Metropolis, participants build their own, large-scale film backdrops during this three-day workshop. “Set design” and “production design” are presented as job descriptions in a very practical way under the guidance of film professionals Gitte Hellwig and Jessica Dürwald.
A film set is made out of the scenery at the end of the workshop, where all of the participants slip into roles either in front of or behind the camera to shoot their own short film.
