Filmspotting: Die große Pause

The star violinist Gabriele, played by Henny Porten, lives completely for her profession. She falls in love with a young count and marries him, but his conservative family does not accept the modern independent woman. The decors subtly reflect the gap between the two worlds: here the artist's cubist villa, there the aristocratic castle.
