Introduction: Bruno Mestdagh (Cinematek, Brussels)
Mahmoud Ben Mahmoud’s first feature film draws on his own experience, telling of the wild ride of two ferry passengers who run into trouble with border authorities on New Year’s Eve. A perfect illustration, still very topical, of the Kafkaesque situations facing candidates for freedom.
