Film archives contain not only feature films, but also many other genres, such as newsreels, uncut documentaries, amateur films, and unidentified films. But access to those collections is often difficult, not only because the filmographic records are incomplete, but also because there is great uncertainty about the rights situation. In this panel discussion, we will present strategies for a better exchange of information on copyright holders between European film archives.
