Digitization and Restoration of Optical Sound on Nitrate Film. Revealing the Authentic Aesthetics of Film Sound

An overview of the audio digitization and restoration work Stadnik undertook as part of the project “Conservation and Digitization of Prewar Feature Films at the National Film Archive in Warsaw” (the Nitrofilm Project). The initiative aimed to preserve the most valuable prewar collection of Polish cinematography, most of which survives on original nitrate-based celluloid.
