Should I emigrate to America, marry a prince, live in a squat, or get good grades at school? On the cusp of adulthood, everything seems possible. Then our grand plans collide with everyday life, and we struggle to find our place, whether in our group of friends, our family, or society. Our streaming program takes up the theme of this year’s Berlinale Retrospective: Young at Heart – Coming of Age at the Movies. Nine feature films and documentaries from the past hundred years take a look at young rebels who shake up social expectations.
