“My films are my travels and my writing is my home”
Werner Herzog believes his writing will outlast his films. In 2021, he published his first novel ‘Das Dämmern der Welt’. In this novel, the soldier Hiroo Onoda misses the capitulation of Japan and continues defending his country for 29 more years. In the summer of 2022, Herzog’s memoir ‘Jeder für sich und Gott gegen alle’ was published. The catalogue for the exhibtion “Werner Herzog” features an extensive interview with the director. It contains a ‘Werner Herzog ABC’, over 100 previously unpublished images from the Herzog archives, a greeting by Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao and exclusive comic drawings by Reinhard Kleist.
All three publications can be bought on site and signed by Werner Herzog himself.
