Lights from the Underground
Lichter aus dem Hintergrund, G, 1998, directed by Helga Reidemeister, 93 min, rated: 0
Berlin, a few years after the fall of the Wall. The city is in a state of upheaval, and old certainties have disappeared. In her documentary, Reidemeister is interested in the generation of children who grew up with the Wall, among them the young photographer Robert Paris. Together with his friends, he travels through a city that no longer seems theirs. Helga Reidemeister observes, asks questions and listens. She thus creates an exciting portrait of a generation that still provides many links to the present.
