Kino International, Karl-Marx-Allee 33 (Friedrichshain/East Berlin), shown shortly before it opened on November 15, 1963 with the Soviet 70mm film ‘Optimistische Tragödie’ (directed by Samson Samsonov). It would become the theater that DEFA used to screen its movie premieres.
