Werner Herzog
Stipeti?, Werner (Birth name)
Director, screenwriter, film producer, actor, narrator, author
* 05.09.1942 in Munich
Werner Herzog is considered one of the most important German directors of international rank, who “Time Magazine” named one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2009. As an “auteur” filmmaker of New German Cinema, he gained his reputation in the 1970s as an unconventional, non-conformist director. Since the 2000s, Herzog has mainly made feature films in the United States and unorthodox documentaries filmed worldwide while also delivering guest performances as an actor.
