Lawale

GER 1969, directed by Dore O., 30 min, without dialogue, rated: 6

Here, images of a family express the intransigence of its structures. In sequences of static shots, family members, alone or in different constellations, are placed in front of the camera in the rooms of an old villa. Scratching and squeaking noises overlay silent scenes to emphasize the disharmony even when music is playing, people are dancing or drinking coffee together.
