The participants of this workshop will deal with the film-making process from script to storyboard to film realization. First, basic filmmaking tools will be taught. Using examples of German and international productions such as Tom Tykwer’s ‘Lola Rennt ’(G 1998) and Michael Haneke’s ‘Das weiße Band’ (G/AU/F/I 2009), storyboards of individual sequences and their cinematic realization will be analyzed. We will work with excerpts from original screenplays and storyboards from the archives of the Deutsche Kinemathek.
