Accessibility
The Museum für Film und Fernsehen aims to be accessible to everyone. Our goal is that all visitors are able to freely and independently move through the Filmhaus building on Potsdamer Platz, and can easily get their bearings. Orientation aids intended to further this goal are currently being planned. We take the right to cultural participation very seriously and are permanently improving on designs for optimal museum experiences that are as barrier-free as possible. The following information discusses the current status of accessibility at the museum.
Access
The Museum für Film und Fernsehen is ground-level and wheelchair accessible. The barrier-free entrance is located at the back of the Filmhaus, in the Center am Potsdamer Platz The museum’s exhibition spaces can be reached by a wheelchair-accessible elevator. Portable seating equipment, available at the cash registers on the ground floor, may be borrowed free of charge.
Guide dogs are permitted in our exhibitions.
Barrier-free restrooms
Barrier-free restrooms are located on a lower level (2.UG) and on an upper level (3.OG). They are reached by using the wheelchair-accessible elevator.
Inclusive educational offers
Barrier-free and inclusive educational offers can be booked individually or attended on regularly scheduled dates for the general public. For further information, please follow this link.
